Recently officers finally got their hands on Lagos' notorious and most wanted kidnapper, Duneme Onwuamadike, popularly known as Evans and their efforts, hardwork and courage towards taking such risk has been rewarded greatly by the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris on Saturday, June 17, 2017.

The IGP has specially promoted the officers to a more respectable position in the police force and according to reports from the Daily Sun, he did this so as to encourage them and other officers to work harder.
However, this is what has form the basis of my topic

Do you know that it is justified if you or me die in the process of fighting for or saving a good cause, even Jesus sacrificed his life for a good cause. Do you know that even if they had died during the proces of catching Evans, they would still be celebrated and rewards would go to their families if not them, and who knows? Maybe the family of one of the officers had been suffering but with the guts shown and courage taken by them, their lives will automatically change for good.

Thank Goodness, it didn't come out negative but the other way round and they have gotten a reward they surely deserve, a reward that some of them never thought that they would get in their entire policing career all thanks to what...? Their obedience and courage to achieve what seemed like an impossible mountain to climb, like a lost cause and in the process, ensuring the safety of the lives and property of Lagosians and Nigerians as a whole.

They could have refused to go on the mission and thereby lose their respective jobs or get demoted which is tantamount to the former but instead, they accepted their fate and fortunately, it turned out to be a good one.

I want you to Learn from the actions of the Nigerian police and realize that life is all about going the extra mile to do something good for the good of everyone regardless of whether you know them or not. Don't get me wrong... It is not about trying to please everyone because it is not possible and you will lose in the end but it is about being a problem solver for the problematic.

Your reward might not be as instant unlike that of the officers who nabbed Evans but trust me, it will come but you just won't know where it will come from.
